In collaboration with Nathan from 'Our Little Shed' in Terrigal, NSW, I am proud to introduce our 'Spirit of Dryad' Collection. Proudly Australian made, featuring primarily Australian timbers, each Necklace Talisman is a beautiful combination of two slow arts, wood-working and macrame.
A gift from Mother Earth, wood holds its own soothing, grounding energy, with each tree having it's own spiritual meaning. Wood is a symbol of resilience and clarity, and a reminder to find calm and breathe deeply in a world where balancing life with technology & modern chaos have become second nature.
Each beautiful tree, just like crystals and minerals, has their own spiritual and energetic meaning and each tree has their own ‘fingerprint’ in their growth rings. These unique characteristics, in their beautifully finished and tactile simplicity, make each palm sized pendant a very personal talisman for those needing a reminder to Stop, Breathe & Rest.
How are they made?
The beautifully tactile pendants are hand-crafted in Nathan's Little Shed in Terrigal, Central Coast NSW, from ethically sourced native timbers, with the occasional foreign addition, such as Ebony.
These are then shipped to my small Studio in Logan, SE Qld where they are intuitively woven into comfortable, well-wearing Brazilian Linhasita cord, accompanied by high-quality Brass beading and intentionally chosen crystal elements.
Brass has been used to highlight the warmth in the wood, and energetically bring courage and strength to each talisman, while purifying negative energy and helping reset chaotic thoughts.
