Azurite, Malachite and Chrysocolla are copper based minerals. Azurite colouring and formation changes in response to the air/location it is stored in and is destroyed by heat. Always store your specimens in a dark/shady area away from direct sunlight and heat. These specimens are from China.

Azurite/Malachite/Chrysocolla is safe to handle and wear when polished however raw, unpolished specimens should be handled with care.  Each of these minerals are toxic in their raw form and should never be ingested.  Please wash your hands after handling your beautiful specimen.
