You are looking at a Gidgee wood & Selenite Macrame Necklace - 'Spirit of Dryad' Talisman.

This gorgeous Gidgee pendant has been hand-finished by Nathan - Our Little Shed, before being woven into this talisman by me.  The Gidgee has been paired with Selenite beading and woven into Pahla Linhasita cording.  

What is Gidgee?
Gidgee is a tree endemic to NT, Qld and NSW and is better known as the 'Stinking Wattle' due to the distinctive odour it emits during in humid temperatures. It is extremely dense, being one of the most pest resistant and the third hardest wood in the world.  The deep brown wood is the inner 'heartwood' and the lighter yellow wood is the outer 'sapwood'.   
Gidgee wattle trees are a symbol of strength, resilience and positivity in new beginnings.  As one of the first trees to generate new growth after bushfires, Gidgee supports growth during self-discovery and soul renewal journeys.  Gidgee has a nurturing energy and natural warmth, beneficial and supportive to healers and care givers.

Selenite for it's cleansing, protective energy.  Helping clear and dispel negativity (whether your own negative thought patterns or those of others) and bring clarity to thoughts.

Given that Gidgee is the third hardest timber worldwide, the beautiful grain display and smoothly tactile nature of these pendants are an incredible show of Nathan's woodworking mastery and attention to detail.
