This specimen has graceful, tapered twin wands, each point capped with an added quartz growth layer.  The inner quartz core holds a lovely clarity, with the outer layer bearing a frosty, etched appearance. Quartz from this region often possess cracking injury and self-healing due to the extensive and continual seismic activity of the region.
